аккумулятор к sony ericsson bst-33

this has happened to me three times. all 3 phones were bought in australia, and all were taken to greece for 3-4 months each and used there. they were all new and at some stage in my holiday the, battery would swell and the phone would die. all of my equipment was original ericsson. the first two phones were k800i and the second was a w880i.

the battery on the left side on the picture above is not an original one, but the one which is on the right side is. so that's why it got swollen, because fake battery has bad shape and low quality. You can even see the differences between their covers and shapes, the original battery has a small dot on the trash bin image, but the fake one doesn't. Sorry for my bad english.

yeah, happened on my j300i (not on the list) and also the water damage indicator on the battery showed damage although it never touched water (don't know if that has anything to do with the swelling)

My phone is nearly 3 years old but i raised health and safety queries and they have no problem doing this. I dont know whats is happening at the min but i as assuming that it will be sorted, so if you have the same problem call them.

Hi guys, it happened to my k800i and i called sony erricsson and they have told me to send my phone free post to them where they will check it over and repair it, or replace it if needs be.

Happened to my w880i also in fact it leaked it was so bad now i have a fone with no battery =(

Happened to me too on the G705 (not included on the list but also uses BST-33), while the phone was turned off. So apparently the phone doesn't even need to be on in order for the battery to swell.

Could you please advice me...??!dtslogu

Hey Guyz,Actually i am being used Sonyericsson W890i, from three months i am getting a problem in my mobile panel which is pushed out from the lock, then i checked my battery it was swallon. So, what happened the battery, should i change the battery...??

this happened to my w300i battery to

My battery (bst-33 on K800i) got swollen for unknown reason, hope the phone is not damaged by this bloating

I bought a Sony Ericson @ my local At&t retail store last year. The sales lady I was dealing with said it was a very good phone. My battery swelled up today, after work I took it back to the store where I purchased it and it went out of warranty 16 days ago. They did not have the battery and told me they no longer carry the phone. Finally she told me that she could order the battery, she found it listed under the warranty sight, but she would not honor the warranty, I would have to pay for it. My husband just switched from Altell/Verisign to At&t aboubt 2 months ago, we combined our service and added hi-speed internet service. This is how they treat you.

Yeah my batteried swollen too bst -33. in my w850i

yeah it happened to me too. i didnt know what the cause was. i just bought new batteries

How about you guys? Are you experiencing anything out-of-the-ordinary with regards to your Sony Ericsson BST-33 battery?

Apart from the W880i, the following are some of the other Sony Ericsson phones that use the same type of battery:

Even though it's supposed to be more stable and less prone to swelling and fire than the conventional Li-Ion batteries, these pictures sent in by an Engadget reader should raise concern over its safety. His BST-33 battery has apparently swollen to a full 7-mm in thickness from its standard 4-mm. ItРІР‚в„ўs a battery he uses on his W880i handset and while there's no way to verify if indeed it is an authentic Sony Ericsson battery, erring on the side of caution is our best advice at the moment.

If youРІР‚в„ўre a Sony Ericsson mobile phone owner, you might want to read this interesting bit of news. Apparently, their BST-33 Li-Polymer battery is showing signs that it could be a ticking lawsuit just waiting to happen.
